Emergency Management by Lucien G. Canton, CEM

Seminars
Seminars are generally presentations followed by a brief question and answer period. They tend to focus on broad concepts and ideas. The purpose of a seminar is to stimulate your thinking and suggest new ways of viewing an issue. My most recent seminars include:

  • A New Take on an Old System: ICS for the Private Sector
  • Establishing the Emergency Management Program
  • Emergency Management: Evolving Roles and Shifting Paradigms
  • Strategic Planning for the Emergency Management Program
  • Ten Reasons Plans Fail

Seminars are always tailored to suit the audience. Participants receive a copy of the presentation materials, a reference list for further information, and additional materials and handouts as appropriate. Participants also receive a follow-up questionnaire after three months to see if the information provided at the seminar or workshop was useful.

“Lucien’s presentation took an old topic, applied an entirely new perspective, and made it truly applicable. I took away important action items that we are applying to our own program.”
